Meeting information
The Society meets at Westwoods Centre, Bassett Road, Northleach, Gloucestershire GL54 3QJ on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 11.00 a.m. for lectures.
Members are invited to come for coffee from 10.15 a.m. Our lectures are held monthly (except during July, August and December) and they last for one hour and cover a wide range of historical and arts related subjects including architecture, music, ballet, gardens, literature, the lives and work of famous artists, jewellery, cultures and civilisations etc.
Members can usually bring a guest to any of the lectures, but they should check with the Membership Secretary or the Chairman beforehand. Occasionally, if we anticipate a great number of members are going to attend, we have to reserve the right to turn down non-members. The hall is only insured for a limited number of visitors. The charge for bringing a guest is £10.
Days of special interest take place twice yearly at the the Westwood Centre. They normally start at 10.30 a.m and finish at approximately 3.30 p.m. and include lunch.
Annual coach and other trips are organised throughout the year including to London; coach pick ups are from Northleach and Cirencester.
