Newsletter 28th August 24
Welcome back after our summer break. Hopefully you have all been able to make the most of the limited good weather which we have enjoyed.
During the summer a number of members have enjoyed two outings, Buscot Park, House and Gardens in May, and The Charterhouse, City of London in July, both pictured above. You will find a report of both visits on our website, which make interesting reading for those of us not able attend.
Watch this space for news of future visits, the first of which is on October 1st to Watts Gallery Artist”s Village. The details of this were emailed to you earlier this month, and are also on the website.
Details of the next Day of Special Interest which is entitled Art of Art Deco have also been sent, taking place at Westwoods on October 3rd.
If you haven’t booked for either of these events then please get on and do so.
We also have 3 very interesting lectures coming up to complete our year. I look forward to seeing you on September 12th when Mary Alexander lectures to us on Art Design and Pleasure in the 1920s.
The programme for 2025 is being finalised by our hard working committee as I write this, and we look forward to welcoming you all back for another fascinating year in 2025.
