Visit to Hellens House and Gardens
Much Marcle
Herefordshire HR8 2LY
Tuesday 20th May 2025

Hellens is a much loved Tudor/Jacobean home with an incredible tapestry of stories, characters, art, furniture grounds and gardens. The history dates back to 1057. It is one of the oldest historic houses in England and a living monument to much of England's history.
The grounds cover 150 acres. The gardens include a yew labyrinth, a rare octagonal dovecot, a physic garden , a knot garden and wonderful views to the Malvern Hills.

We are not arranging transport for this visit. Please make your own way there. It takes just over an hour from Cirencester. If some of you wish to share lifts and want help arranging this please contact me.

The visit starts at 11am with tea or coffee and biscuits. After this there is a tour of the house commencing at 11.45. The tour takes about an hour and a quarter. After this you are free to explore the gardens and grounds.

The tea shop is not open for lunch but you are welcome to picnic in the grounds. Also there is a good pub in the village.

The cost of the visit is £13 to include refreshments on arrival.
